Comcast Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Programs for Community Leaders, Free Content, and Programs for Latinx Founders

Comcast is showcasing the contributions of the Latinx community through unique programming and free content across its platforms that highlight conversations meant to inspire change and support Latino entrepreneurs.  Comcast is also committed to supporting Hispanic-owned businesses through Comcast RISE, a program to help small businesses hit hardest by the pandemic.

DoorDash Furthers its Commitment to the Latinx Community

Year round, DoorDash is proud to celebrate Latino merchants, Dashers, and communities.  During Hispanic Heritage Month, DoorDash is highlighting and supporting Latino-owned restaurants, providing Spanish-language educational resources to restaurant owners, and partnering with the Latino Restaurant Association.  The company also contributed $25,000 in community credits to multiple Latino-led organizations and now offers its Restaurant University series in Spanish.

Intuit is Celebrating Diversity Within the Latinx Community

Intuit is uniting, cultivating, and celebrating Latinx culture through the Intuit Latinos Network.  Intuit is also working towards achieving its goal of increasing employment for those who identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx and Native American, Native Alaskan and Native Hawaiian, through new partnerships with Latinas in Tech, Techqueria, and #LatinaGeeks.

Apple Commits an Additional $30 Million to Broaden its Racial Equity and Justice Initiative (REJI)

Apple’s REJI supports students, innovators, and advocacy organizations that are leading the charge in creating a more inclusive and just world.  Apple is committing $30 million to support new projects like a Global Hispanic-Serving Institution Equity Innovation Hub and a new cohort of the Apple Entrepreneur Camp immersive tech lab for Hispanic/Latinx founders and developers.  The funds also support expanded education initiatives for community colleges, HBCUs, and leaders working to advance criminal justice reform.

Amazon Celebrates the Success of Hispanic-owned Small Businesses

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Amazon has launched a dedicated storefront for Hispanic and Latinx-owned businesses and selling partners.  Customers can shop for hundreds of products from Hispanic entrepreneurs, including beauty and wellness essentials, jewelry, art, and more.  Also, Prime Video will showcase Hispanic and Latinx actors, producers, writers, and directors through a curated selection of titles that honor the diverse experiences of the Latinx communities.
