Improving the Government Experience
In 2018, the federal government spent 80 percent of its nearly $100 billion IT budget on maintaining its outdated technology systems. This problem is not unique to Washington, however: many state and local governments are saddled with similar issues that waste taxpayer money and leave citizens' data vulnerable to cyberattacks.
Tech companies have solutions to help bring the public sector into the 21st century. There are already several examples of how modernizing government technology can result in enhanced public safety, stronger cybersecurity, and reduced costs that enable governments to focus more on their core mission: serving their citizens.
