Cameron Demetre serves as TechNet’s Deputy Executive Director for California and the Southwest. Based in Sacramento, Cameron assists in overseeing TechNet’s state advocacy and political activities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah, and assists in issue advocacy, government affairs, events, policy analysis, political fundraising, membership relations, coalition building, and media relations. Cameron joined TechNet from the California Department of Finance, where he worked for both the Brown and Newsom Administrations providing budgetary oversight with the California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, Department of Justice, and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. He previously worked as a Legislative Director in the California State Assembly, working on a variety of issues from education to financial technology, and was a recipient of a California Senate Fellowship. Prior to his work in California, Cameron worked as a policy consultant for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and was a Fulbright Scholar in South Korea. He received his bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University and received his master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
