Facebook Launches New Features to Help Fans Connect with Olympic Athletes

Facebook has introduced a number of new features that take fans behind the scenes of the Olympics.  On Instagram, augmented reality for Reels and Stories allow fans to mirror the movements of the official Olympic mascot.  Another feature takes spectators behind the scenes with 11 Olympians as they prepared for the Games.  Users can also find information on the Olympic schedule, news, medal standings, and access highlights from Olympic broadcasters around the world

Team Toyota’s ‘Mobility for All’ Mantra Makes Olympic and Paralympic Dreams Possible for Athletes

Toyota believes that mobility goes beyond cars. The company has committed $5 million to fund stipend and scholarship opportunities designed to help eligible U.S. Paralympic athletes compete in Tokyo and at the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing.  Toyota has helped athletes train and stay competitive during the pandemic.  Toyota sponsors 31 athletes under the Team Toyota umbrella.

Dell Technologies Providing High Performance Storage Systems for NBC’s Production of the Olympic Games

Dell was selected by NBC Olympics to provide high performance storage systems to help support the network’s coverage of the Olympics.  Dell will store and manage NBC’s content — equivalent to millions of gigabytes — across two NBC Olympics production locations in Japan and one in the U.S.  Dell’s systems are helping NBC collaborate, produce, and air the Games as well as exchange video and other content across platforms.

Salesforce Announces Partnerships to Support Olympic and Paralympic Athletes and Coverage

Salesforce announced a partnership with Team USA and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  As part of the multi-year partnership, Salesforce will create digital experiences to engage with athletes and fans.  In addition, Salesforce announced a partnership with NBCUniversal to support its Olympic and Paralympic coverage across platforms for the next seven years.
