Washington — TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today issued the following statement on Commerce Secretary Pritzker’s announcement that the U.S. Department of Commerce would expand its Digital Attaché program. The Department’s Digital Attachés assist American businesses in navigating digital policy and regulatory issues in foreign markets. The expansion will double the reach of the program from six to 12 markets. The following can be attributed to Linda Moore, president and CEO of TechNet.

“TechNet applauds the expansion of the Department of Commerce’s Digital Attaché program. This program has proved vital in helping American businesses address digital policy and regulatory issues in overseas markets and has helped expand trade and e-commerce. The program’s expansion will allow American companies to operate confidently in more international markets, helping to boost American exports and job creation. We look forward to working with the Department of Commerce to identify which new markets would be best served by the Digital Attachés.”
