Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today announced Ashley Sutton as Executive Director for Washington and the Northwest. In this role, Sutton will oversee TechNet’s state advocacy in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington state, where she will be based. Sutton’s first day will be February 7.
“Washington state remains a top priority for our 50-state advocacy program, and I’m thrilled we’re bringing on someone with Ashley’s record of success,” said Linda Moore, TechNet President and CEO. “Ashley delivers results, getting legislation passed that improves people’s lives. She will be a great addition to our state advocacy team and will work with our members to advance policies that grow our economy, create jobs, and increase American competitiveness.”
Sutton joins TechNet after owning and running Agile Public Affairs, where she delivered legislative victories for clients and was a constant presence around the Washington legislature. Prior to starting Agile Public Affairs, Sutton was a policy associate at a Northwest-based think tank. Sutton holds a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington.
