Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today named Megan Perleoni Communications and Digital Content Manager. TechNet also announced the promotion of Emily Hickman to Federal Policy Coordinator.

“Megan’s background as an effective and experienced communicator on Capitol Hill will help us expand and better execute a robust communications strategy to lawmakers, press, and the public across platforms. We’re thrilled she’s joining our team,” said TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore. “We’re also excited to see Emily continue to grow in her new and expanded role. She joined us as an intern and has been an integral part of our team ever since. We congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion.”

As Communications and Digital Content Manager, Perleoni will play a key role in advancing TechNet’s federal and state advocacy, digital marketing, and communication strategies across platforms. Perleoni joins TechNet after serving as Press Secretary for Congressman John B. Larson (D-CT), her hometown representative. Perleoni led the Congressman’s communications team and worked on the Larson for Congress campaign. Perleoni has also worked in the offices of Congressman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) and House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA). Perleoni earned bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

In Hickman’s new role as Federal Policy Coordinator, she is responsible for supporting the Federal staff in advocacy efforts, member issue area tracking, and event coordination. Hickman joined TechNet in 2022 as an intern and has also served as Federal Policy and Government Relations Staff Assistant. Emily graduated cum laude from Miami University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing and Journalism.
