Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today released the following statement, attributed to President and CEO Linda Moore, following passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in the U.S. Senate:
“The technology industry has been a long-standing partner with the U.S. military to defend our nation and advance America’s national security objectives. As Congress begins to reconcile the House and Senate NDAA bills, it must include in the final bill provisions that will strengthen American leadership in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing, bolster our cybersecurity defenses, secure critical supply chains, increase our research and development capabilities, and enhance the STEM talent pipeline through updated education, workforce development, and immigration policies.
“Now that the Senate has passed its version, TechNet looks forward to working with both chambers to ensure provisions are included in the final NDAA that meet our national security goals, support our men and women in uniform, and help us win the next era of innovation.”
