Washington, D.C. — TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore issued the following statement today regarding the passage of H.R. 9, the Climate Action Now Act:

“We applaud the U.S. House of Representatives for prioritizing efforts to combat climate change and meet the standards established by the Paris Agreement. The decision to abandon the Agreement in 2017 was a step backwards for our environment, economy, and national security. Evidence of climate change’s threat only continues to increase, and the U.S. should be a global leader in advancing innovative solutions to this crisis.

“TechNet and its members continue to advocate for ways to protect our environment, including by championing policies at the federal and state levels that help combat climate change, and by investing in innovations and initiatives that lower the carbon footprint of individuals and of companies across all sectors.”
