Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, issued the following statement in response to recent attacks against the Asian and Pacific Islander community. The following can be attributed to Carl Holshouser, TechNet’s Senior Vice President:

“Recent violent attacks against Asians and Pacific Islanders are horrifying. As we recently highlighted, the tech community stands with — and is helping — the AAPI community. Asian Americans have made countless contributions to our society and economy, from serving on the frontlines during the pandemic to developing some of the country’s most impactful innovations that we use every day.

“Hate, discrimination, and violence against individuals based on their ethnicity, nationality, race, religion, disability status, age, gender identity, or sexual orientation must end.”
