Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today applauded the passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act in the U.S. House of Representatives. The following statement can be attributed to TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore:

“Systemic inequalities exist in virtually every aspect of our society. Voting should not be one of them. Every eligible American should have free, fair, and safe access to the ballot box because our democracy is stronger when we all have a voice.

“We applaud the House for voting to restore the safeguards that were established 56 years ago under the Voting Rights Act. We urge both parties in the Senate to come together and quickly pass bipartisan legislation that ensures voting is accessible to all.”
