Washington, D.C. – TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives, today issued the following statement, attributable to Cameron Demetre, TechNet’s Executive Director of California and the Southwest, following a judge’s decision to overturn Prop 22 in California:

“Last November, six in ten California voters voted to pass Prop. 22. Today’s ruling clearly contradicts the overwhelming will of California voters. Opponents of Prop. 22 are putting politics before people. They’re trying to take away the benefits drivers are entitled to under the law, including a stipend to purchase health care and a minimum earnings guarantee.”
